“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin .

As catalyst for nations’ growth and development, adequate investment in human capital can only thrive with deliberate attention and investment in its key drivers: education.

Education is highly imperative for national growth and development. Hence, it must be carefully preserved and nurtured.

As a critical ingredient of productive foundation for leadership in academic, career and family endeavors, it deserves purpose driven policies by governments at all levels, parents and school support structures.

This article is hinged on a simple three-point discourse to enable for understanding of its message. These points are also easy to remember and comprehend.

GOVERNMENT POLICY:

Governments at all levels stand the best chance of guaranteeing and entrenching impactful education through provision of enabling environment:
(i.) Adequate security.
(ii.)Learning aids materials to schools.
(iii) Affordable and quality healthcare.

These among others help to nurture pupils who grow to become responsible and patriotic citizens. Governments’ provision of critical infrastructure and effective security to citizens manifests a healthy nation with sound and productive human capital.

RESPONSIBLE PARENTING

Parents are the first harbingers, influencers and role models to their children. Because most parents often underestimate their children’s intelligence capacity, they ignorantly become culpable in their wards’psychological and moral decy.

Every child deserves responsible and responsive parenting. They must be protected against all forms of negative influence and abuse. Parents who carelessly engage in indecent dressing, vulgar words, expletive audio and video contents are guilty of child abuse and defilement.

Most issues arising from teenage rebellion can be traced to psychological trauma and mental imbalance, a direct consequence of cumulative psychological and physical abuse. Parents’ sense of responsibility is vital and cannot be questioned or overemphasized.

The best way to kill something is to over-care for it. If we truly love our children dearly, we must learn to discipline them and be at peace with any good decision we took.

SCHOOL SUPPORT STRUCTURE:

It takes two to tango just like iron sharpens iron. Impactful governments policies and responsible parenting are no doubt germain for preservation and survival of productive education. However, their efforts can only count and thrive if it enjoys strong school support structure like effective Parents Teachers Association.

PTA and PIA’s role of collaborating and interfacing between schools and corporate entities or individuals remain vital in children’s education.

Knowledge driven education is beyond the four walls of classrooms. To achieve it, students require much needed excursions and courtesy visits to organizations and key policy makers, a task that often gets facilitated by various schools support structures like the Parents-Teachers Associations and Parents-Instructors Associations as the case may be.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” says an African proverb. Collaborative efforts and synergy between relevant stakeholders: government and citizens remain the secret ingredients to education that delivers human capital development for overall well-being of all citizens. And for knowledge driven education to become entrenched and thrive, governments at all levels, parents, corporate organizations and individuals, schools and schools support structures MUST adopt culture of deliberate responsibility and synergy.
