Ouagadougou – The military Head of State of Burkina Faso , Captain Ibrahim Traoré has revealed vicious roles foreign governments – colonial Imperialists play to perpetuate insecurity and Poverty in Burkina Faso and Africa through deliberate sabotage.

Captain Ibrahim Traore disclosed this recently during raising of the colours at the presidency of Faso in Ouagadougou. The Head of State, took the opportunity to urge the workers of the institution, and the Burkinabè through them, to a “mental decolonisation”.

He also reacted to the words of Emmanuel Macron, the French president, who affirmed, during the meeting with the ambassadors of France, that Africans were not sufficiently grateful for the sacrifices that his country made for the continent.

“Let me remind everyone that the fight against imperialism must be integrated into our genes. It must be a fight that is waged relentlessly and every day, because many people have not understood this fight until now. Our valiant fighting forces are on the ground. They are leading the fight against the manipulated lackeys, these criminals who scour our countryside every day, and are holding firm to bring peace to our dear Faso.

As much as they do, our working masses, who are farmers and breeders, are also fighting so that we can achieve food self-sufficiency through the support of all the technicians of the Ministry in charge of Agriculture. This is very important.” Traore declared.

Speaking further, he said : “And as much as they also fight, in the administration we must fight to change mentality. This mental decolonization is the most difficult part. And that is why we want to constantly remind you that we must change mentality, return to our sources. And that is also the fight against imperialism.”

“Every opportunity is offered to understand imperialism and its manifestations. When I take Emmanuel MACRON’s recent remarks on Africa, any conscious African should understand very quickly everything he said and what it means.”

“General TCHIANI (Nigerien military Head of State) mentioned, not long ago, the change of tactics or strategy of the French forces in Africa. And, I think he came to confirm it. It is about dissolving and keeping a base system. Emmanuel MACRON said it so well and we can only thank him for this sincerity. Even if some wanted to pull the wool over their people’s eyes, reality ends up catching up too. They will not leave certain countries. They have just dissolved the system. You will no longer see them in bases. But in embassies, they will be there.”

“They will form security companies to secure their companies that exist in these countries. The soldiers will be there, but you will no longer see them in uniform or gathered in the bases. That is all it means. They will reorganize, but they will be there. He spoke of politeness towards certain Heads of State by giving them the priority to announce the break or the departure of the French forces. That matters little to us.”

“But all we know is that if you want a break with these imperialist forces, it’s simple. You have to denounce the defense agreements. It all starts there. I think that the example of Chad, in any case, is palpable. They started by denouncing the agreements. Otherwise, if we don’t denounce the agreements, just say that the bases are leaving, we haven’t done anything. Because the problem lies in the colonial defense agreements that have been signed since Independence.”

“The most dangerous are not those you see in the bases; they are the military advisers. Military advisers exist in all these countries. They existed in Burkina Faso as well until the end of 2022, until we took our responsibilities.”

“And who are these military advisers? They are the ones who are supposed to put France’s policy into practice here. They must work to make our armies very weak so that France can always have the argument of existing here. Under President Blaise COMPAORÉ, they had succeeded. Our sentries took guard with sticks.”

“This is what France wants from our armies. When we get to this stage, we have no choice but to want them to come and settle. But the Burkinabe army managed at one point to get rid of the military advisers.”

“Unfortunately, in 2019, after Operation Otapuanu, where these French saw that the Burkinabe army still had the capacity to react to terrorism, they called the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces in France. They instructed him to take back the military advisers in all structures.”

“Well, he didn’t accept. But back home, the politicians instructed him to accept the military advisers. And that’s when the military advisers returned to the Burkinabe army in 2019, with all the consequences that we know. The army was disappearing in the years 2020-2021. Moreover, that’s when many soldiers had to desert because there was no more hope. We were collapsing.”

“This is how they work. In the General Staff of the Armed Forces, in all the Army General Staffs, in the schools, they are the ones who are supposed to dictate to us the policy of our army. They are the ones who tell us how much to recruit, when to recruit and what to do with them. They are in the schools to tell us how to train them and so on. As long as these military advisers are there, you are not independent. Your army will just have the appearance of an army that will be there doing parades, a circus.”

“But when war comes, you will realize that parade is one thing, but war is another. Defense agreements must be broken. This is the only way to have an independent army, to build ourselves and be strong. But many people do not understand this. And even with these agreements, France chooses student officers from our states to go and train them. It is through these same agreements. But in reality, these officers who go to train in France, for the most part, come to serve the French state in their country. They do not come to serve our countries. It trains them so that they come to serve the interests of the French state.”

“I want to prove it. When we revolted, many officers in Burkina, who were trained in France, were immediately contacted to tell them that it was time to take action because they were trained for this, to serve the interests of France. Most of these officers reported to us.”

“We have taken note and we continue to follow. When an officer trained in France arrives in his country and unfortunately dies either by accident or on the battlefield, in France, there is a night of homage to the dead in the army, as everywhere else; at the night of homage to the dead, the name of the officer in question is cited and we say “died for France”. She does not train him to serve his country, She trains him to serve the French State!”

“And in many African states, these officers are numerous. How many are patriots? God knows. This is a lesson that Emmanuel MACRON has given again to African Heads of State to catch up and to be able to really lead this fight against imperialism.”

“But in addition to that, he also offended all Africans in his remarks. There is a part that caught my attention, the one where he spoke of ingratitude and that ingratitude is a disease that is not transmissible to humans. According to him, he is human, our ingratitude is not transmissible to him. This is how this gentleman sees Africa and Africans. We are not humans in his eyes. Maybe it is he who is not human, he does not put himself in the class of humans.”

“But if there is an ungrateful person, it is him. I think that if he is not an atheist and he prays, every morning that he wakes up and prays, he should also pray to the Africans. Because it is thanks to our ancestors that there is a France today. He should pray to us. In his eyes, we must not be humans, we are more than humans. These are very strong messages that he is passing on.”

“I mourn the French people. But, it is good for Africa. It is a necessary evil for us. Those who want to wake up, wake up. Those who do not want to wake up, as they say, you cannot wake up someone who is not sleeping. Africans must wake up.’

“We must work to be independent, to make our peoples happy. And that is the fight against imperialism. We must decolonize mentalities, take into account all these data, because the world gives us so many examples to see.”

“For them, there is no morality. They can call you a terrorist today, but tomorrow you are a hero. By their mere word, they decide what they do. They talk about democracy, but they carry out constitutional coups among themselves. They talk about human rights, but they decimate populations elsewhere. The African must wake up, Africa must wake up.”

In conclusion, Captain Traore said: “And, the fight against imperialism is permanent. I invite you to incorporate this fight, to work so that we are truly independent, that we are self-sufficient and that we can develop, know happiness, which is what our people aspire to. Looking back, we can say that we have contributed greatly to our nation.”
