The National Coordinator, APC Innovators, Hon. Joseph Adeleye on behalf of the group, has congratulated the Governor-Elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa on their election victory in the just concluded Edo State governorship election.
The group, a resourceful appendage to the All Progressive Congress APC, adopted this unanimous decision at the Unity Resort Hotel, Igarra on Saturday,12th October, 2024 during its extraordinary session, to celebrate the Governor Elect and his Deputy’s resounding victory at the just concluded polls.
Joseph Adeleye, a former Secretary to Akoko-Edo local government council while addressing the group’s members, expressed gratitude to God for granting victory to the part at this critical time Edo State is in dire need of a true democrat and a servant leader capable of piloting the affairs of the state through development, prosperity and general well-being of all citizens. He saluted the All Progressive Congress APC leadership in Akoko-Edo for a yeoman’s work to pull the highest votes in the Senatorial District.
In the same vein, the group, at the end of its meeting cum victory party, unanimously appealed to the Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo to appoint Hon. Kabiru Adjoto as his Chief of Staff. It stated that its recommendation of Hon. Adjoto for the position of Chief of Staff to the Governor-Elect was due to his significant role in the overwhelming victory of the All Progressive Congress APC in his Ward and throughout Akoko-Edo local government.
Hon. Joseph Adeleye further stressed that Hon. Adjoto’s command of trust coupled with political and administrative experience played a key role in influencing thousands of opposition members decamping to the APC from the opposing camps during the election campaign.
The group hinted that with Hon Kabiru Adjoto, a man with immense value, man-manager per excellence and a former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly if deployed as the Chief of Staff to Governor – Elect, Monday Okpebholo, cordial working relationship between the Legislature and the Executive is guaranteed.
“The office of Chief of Staff requires an experience administrator and a unifier like Hon. Kabiru Adjoto.” Adeleye declared.
While rallying more support for the Governor-Elect, the APC Innovators National Coordinator pledged loyalty to the incoming administration, prayed for the success of the Governor – Elect and assured members of Senator Monday Okpebholo’s will and readiness to govern the state with the fear of God to bring to reality the elusive but needed development and prosperity back to Edo State. “It is our most sincere prayers that the Almighty God in his infinity mercy and grace grants our incoming Governor and his Deputy sound health, divine wisdom and direction to accomplish the task ahead as we declare our loyalty and unwavering support and best wishes.” Adeleye concluded.
