Chief Sunny Okomayin, a grassroot political juggernaut who once served as an Editorial team member of the defunct Daily and Sunday Times between 1979 and 1984, has positively impacted lives in his immediate community and beyond. A political Oracle who led the Torgba 4+4 a powerful pressure group in Akoko-Edo, and fought soldierly for the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki through the Obaseki Movement, in 2020, he remains the only Senatorial Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC whose unwavering loyalty and support for Governor Godwin Obaseki administration from the All Progressive Congress APC to the Peoples Democratic Party PDP since year 2020 has proven tested, trusted and unbroken.
Being a well respected personality in the royal family with huge followership in Igarra, and
a retired Army Officer who fought the Nigeria Civil War between 1968-1970 with the 3 Marine Commando,Port-Harcour,Rivers State.
