The so-called Elders’ Forum’s hasty venomous reaction to a well planned and organized noble gathering of political veterans of our dear Edo North, who have paid their respective dues in development of Edo North, state and Nigeria as a whole points to primitive thinking and absurdity of highest order.
Not giving undue attention but, to educate the so-called Elders’ Forum, democracy affords all players freedom and right to associate, consult, align and re-align as the case may be.
It is laughable to agree and acknowledge that democracy allows for free, fair and level playing ground for all players but, contradictorily frowns at a noble and harmless consultative efforts amounts to political hallucinations.
To refer to array of seasoned political Elders and Leaders of the Edo North PDP as ‘efulefus’ portrays political ignorance.Those who are involved in your case will often decide on the type of results to be expected.
As earlier noted,democracy allows for freedom of association for all. We believe that the doors of seasoned and tested political Elders and Leaders platform that granted Dr. Asue Ighodalo a well deserved and rightful audience is open and available to other aspirants to explore for their agendas, if any.
Quoting the late legal colossus Chief FRA Williams, whose opinion was sought on the role his enormous physical appearance played in psychological intimidation of other lawyers during court proceedings: “if they feel intimidated by my appearance and mental superiority,I can’t help them”.
Dr. Asue Ighodalo is focused on the task of making Edo an enviable state and certainly, doesn’t care about who gets intimidated by his corporate and political achievements.
Elders and Leaders Forum of Edo North People’s Democratic Party PDP is a body of tested and trusted matured politicians who have meritoriously led the people in public service over the years in our nascent democracy since 1998.
