Nurudeen Adegbenro Adenekan, a radio anchor with Mainland 98.3 FM, Lagos and member of Guild of Public Affairs Analysts of Nigeria (GPAAN) has been arrested.
According to reports by Sahara Reporters, Adenekan’s wife said the police operatives who arrested her husband, claimed to be from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Alagbon, but gave no reason for the journalist’s early morning arrest.
Reports have it that Nurudeen was arrested over allegations of Cyber bullying.
“I just confirmed, he is in the custody of Alagbon police command on allegations of Cyber bullying”, the wife was quoted.
The police arrived at Adegbenro’s residence at Agege at dawn, broke into his house before whisking him away,” the source told Sahara Reporters.
